About Kentucky Kitchens

The inspiration for this cook book began when I heard my sister was headed to be house parents at the boy’s unit in Houston, Texas. Knowing she would be responsible for ALL the cooking, the thought came to me to see if I could help. That was the beginning of many faxes, emails, texts and phone calls! With the help from family, friends, and school mates, she had a book of menus to take with her. I have added more menus since then, and have enjoyed talking to people that I had lost contact with for a while. Happy cooking to each one of you! We are hoping this book will help on days when your ideas are running low!
